A colorful hashtag and the claim “Palermo, Città Universitaria” underline the indissoluble relationship between the academic institution and the territory, further bringing the University closer to the young people who represent so much of its lifeblood and raison d’etre, as a reference point. The hashtag – whose role is very close to that of the “brand” of a classic “brand/logo” composition – is a candidate to become a “brand” itself: on the one hand it aspires, as a synecdoche, to become representative of the Athenaeum (the part for the whole), on the other it winks at one of the most used digital symbols ever, especially following the advent of  social telematic platforms. The colors used are those of the five Schools of the University (Medicine and Surgery, Polytechnic, Legal and economicsocial sciences, Basic and applied sciences, Human sciences and cultural heritage).
